Be a part of the experience as we inspire young girls to become the great leaders of tomorrow!”
Sisters and Teens Involved in Nurturing focuses on developing life skills and tools needed to ensure a successful transition into womanhood. Our goal is to engage the girls in workshops and activities that will enhance self-image, positive self-esteem, strong communication and etiquette skills.
SIILK helps to educate teen girls by showing them the opportunities available in the Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematic fields. By hosting Day at the Movies, Microsoft IT workshops and other events we introduce them to pertinent academic and career path information.
SIILk hosts an annual Toy Drive to help support families that may have little to no access to gifts. We want every child to feel seen by acknowledging them with a thoughtful present. Join us by volunteering to lend a helping hand.
SIILK is involved with numerous community activities in the greater Los Angeles area providing general help, event staffing and other rewarding volunteer positions.
We provide assistance by focusing on immediate needs that assist the women in transition by proving life skills to enhance their personal and professional development. We have mentoring sessions that address issues such as self-esteem, dress for success, communication, networking, and job preparation skills.
